The 9th East Med Oil and Gas Exhibition held in Limassol on the 11th and 12th April 2019 was successfully attended by 85 exhibitors and more than 600 shipping and maritime professionals during the conferences, workshops and exhibition organised during this 2 day event. The Exhibition was under the auspices of the Cyprus Minister of Transport, Communications and Works and the Cyprus Shipping Chamber who addressed the opening of the event and visited individual exhibitors.
The two projects CYnergy and Poseidon Med II were promoted during the exhibition by sharing a common booth were participants had the opportunity to receive information and discuss the benefits of using LNG as Marine Fuel in the East Mediterranean and the efforts in establishing an LNG supply chain in Cyprus to cover the Industrial, Energy and Transport Sectors.

On the 11th of April, the morning of the Opening day of the Exhibition, Bunkernet in cooperation with the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) held the 7th Bunkernet Bunker Conference, entitled “2020 Sulphur Cap – The Final Stretch”. During the Conference, Poseidon Med II was presented by Mr. George Polychroniou, who elaborated on LNG as an Alternative Marine Fuel as well as on the Latest Development in LNG Bunkering. The Conference was attended by more than 160 participants including representatives of international Organisations, shipowners, shipmanagers and other shipping associate stakeholders as well as representatives of local authorities.
